In addition to teaching financial literacy, she loves to engage with her community through financial seminars, taught to individuals as well as local small business employees, churches, non-profits, and mom’s groups. Genesis is a Registered Representative (Series 6) and holds life, health, and long-term care certifications in multiple states.
Genesis attended Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she studied Psychology and Spanish. Her studies had a great impact while she served her community as a police officer. During her time with the city, Genesis recognized a great need for not only general education but specifically financial literacy and this sparked her passion to serve her community in a different way through financial services. She decided to enter the financial industry to begin equipping families with the tools to make wise decisions for their family and their financial future.
While teaching people how money works, Genesis enjoys spending time with her husband of 18 years and 15-year-old daughter, along with a host of extended family and friends that have become family. She is involved in her local church, as the pianist and minister of music, where her mom and dad Co-Pastor. Her vision for the near future is to build and develop her family ranch where young ladies, ages 13-18 spend two weeks a year, to learn a variety of skills, from leadership skills to financial literacy, to how to start a business, survival skills, and the impact of continued personal growth and development.
